Arsenal Predicted Lineup

Arsenal secured an important win in the Europa League and now face a tough trip to Stamford Bridge this Sunday, so let’s take a look at the predicted lineup.

The Gunners did not have it easy but were able to get a 1-0 win over Zurich to finish as the leaders in their group. But this weekend the challenge is a lot tougher against a Chelsea side that are looking better and better under Graham Potter.

Aaron Ramsdale will stay in goal and the England international will have a lot of action to deal with given the hosts’ attack. Ben White will return as the right back and there is a good chance that Kieran Tierney gets another go as the left back. The Scot scored the winner on Thursday and will be brimming with confidence.

William Saliba and Gabriel start as the centre backs and their ability to snuff out counterattacks is going to be crucial. Both are good on the ball and the way they build-up will have an impact on the result.

Thomas Partey and Granit Xhaka take up their usual positions in the centre of midfield and their stability is what Mikel Arteta will be banking on. The latter in particular has had a more advanced role this season but will have to temper those runs a little so as to deal with what Chelsea can do.

Bukayo Saka should be back for this game and that is a huge boost for the north Londoners. The winger can have a huge impact on how the attack is able to pierce the Chelsea defence. Martin Odegaard will be in the centre of this attacking trio along with Gabriel Martinelli. The captain has the ability to play the killer pass and the players on the flanks will be keen on making the right runs.

Gabriel Jesus has not scored for some time but has been an important part in how Arsenal like to create chances. The Gunners need to keep winning if they are serious about challenging for the title. Arteta has won at Stamford Bridge before, but it is not going to be easy at all.

Arsenal Predicted Lineup against Chelsea (4-2-3-1):

Aaron Ramsdale, Ben White, William Saliba, Gabriel, Kieran Tierney, Thomas Partey, Granit Xhaka, Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard, Gabriel Martinelli, Gabriel Jesus
