Aubameyang, Mkhitaryan and Wilshere start, 4-3-2-1: Strongest Predicted Arsenal lineup to face Spurs

Jack Wilshere

Arsenal will seek to accumulate back-to-back wins in the Premier League when they take on local rivals Tottenham Hotspur at the Wembley on Saturday afternoon.

The Gunners clinched a comfortable 5-1 win over Everton in the last previous outing with Aaron Ramsey and Henrikh Mkhitaryan starring for the club.

Despite this, their form has been pretty average through the season, and they face a stiff challenge versus Spurs regardless of the success attained at the Wembley Stadium in the recent past.

Formation: 4-3-2-1

Lineup:

Petr Cech is a touch-and-go for the north London derby, but judging by Wenger’s comments after the Toffees game, he may have only suffered a minor knock. We are fancying the Czech to start in goal.

In defence, Wenger may not make any changes with Laurent Koscielny and Shkodran Mustafi starting at the heart of the defence whilst Hector Bellerin and Nacho Monreal will start in the right and left-back positions respectively.

Monreal was substituted with an illness in the second-half versus Everton, but reports suggest that he will recover in time to make his bow against the club’s arch-rivals.

Jack Wilshere started off the bench during the recent triumph over Everton, but Wenger may feel the need for an additional man in central midfield.

As a result, we are anticipating a three-man partnership with the Englishman partnering Granit Xhaka and Aaron Ramsey, though the latter could be offered the luxury to push forward when on the attack.

Mesut Ozil and Henrikh Mkhitaryan impressed together during the recent Toffees triumph, and the pair could line-up in the attacking midfield.

Upfront Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will be crucial towards guiding the Gunners to a victory which is essential towards their chances of finishing in the Champions League spots, via the league phase.
