Massive Injury boost for Arsenal as 3 players set to return against Burnley

Arsenal have been handed a quadruple boost ahead of their game against Burnley at the Emirates.

Picking up a knock against Swansea which led to the substitution, Olivier Giroud has returned to full training having shaken off the ankle injury during the build up to his goal that broke the deadlock.

The importance of Olivier Giroud to this current Arsenal side can never be overemphasized. It is my hope that his contribution continues and our charge for a first league title in 13 years is achieved.

Francis Coquelin is another key person to have returned from injury. Having pulled his hamstring in the 3-3 draw against Bournemouth earlier on in the month.

According to espn.com, he was expected to be sidelined for about 5 weeks but Le Coq is back in full training and available for selection for the Burnley game where his expertise is highly required in the middle of the park with Xhaka.

His high pressing attribute makes him most suitable for a side who keep a compact shape and the best way to get through such a team, will be to win the ball back quickly when they try to attack.

Hector Bellerin is one of the returnees that was most missed. With accolades such as being arguably the best right back in the Premier league says it all.

His electrifying pace, close controls, defensive timings and attacking nature are ingredients that has secured his spot in the starting 11 in that position.

Hopefully, his niggling injuries are behind him and he is match ready to terrorize that right flank with Lucas Perez/Alex Iwobi/Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in front of him.

We also welcome the return to fitness of Kieran Gibbs who has ably deputized for Nacho Monreal at the left back position.

Gifted with pace as well, Gibbs provides an immediate cover and threat when a lead is required to be protected or when Nacho Monreal isn’t in the squad.

The game at the weekend already exudes a sense of a comprehensive win for the Gunners.

I remember the last time both teams clashed sometime in October 2016, a late goal by Laurent Koscielny helped us to escape the reality of losing 2 points by drawing the game.

Hopefully the North London can repeat the same result and keep the pressure on table-toppers Chelsea. COYG!!!!
