Onyekuru wants to join Arsenal as agent holds talks, Forward says he’s ready to move

Arsenal target Henry Onyekuru is open to the prospect of testing himself in the Premier League following a top season for KAS Eupen in the Belgian top flight.

The Nigerian footballer amassed 25 goals and 14 assists for Eupen during the 2016-17 season, and he has now revealed his desire to join a bigger club in Europe.

A host of Belgium clubs have already expressed an interest in the marksman, but his representative is keen to discuss a deal with Arsene Wenger’s side, as reported by Sky Sports.

Speaking to Belgian outlet DH, the teenager revealed that he has plenty of interest from Belgium and England, and he is ‘ready’ to feature among the elite in the Premier League.

“Everything is possible. Anderlecht, Club Brugge, England … I still haven’t decided,” he told DH. “I have had fun in Belgium, but I have always dreamed of the Premier League.” ”

”Believe’ is not the right word. I know I’m ready. I’m sure of that.”

Arsene Wenger has taken risks with young recruits over the course of his career, and there is a suggestion that the Nigerian could be brought into the Gunners ranks regardless of the Frenchman’s position this summer.

Onyekuru, who has yet to represent the Nigerian national team, currently has a release clause of just £6.8m, and this puts the Gunners in a comfortable position to discuss a deal without having to worry about the consequences.

At the tender age of 19, Onyekuru has made himself a household name in Eupen, and a move to the Premier League could be on the cards with Everton, Southampton, Swansea City and West Bromwich Albion also in the pursuit of his services.
