Arsenal close in on two world-class signings

Henrikh Mkhitaryan

Good day all, following Arsene Wenger’s interest in signing three elite players this summer, it’s now clear that this is very much a real thing and at this point it would be a huge surprise if it didn’t happen.

It show’s that Arsenal are not backing away from their claims of blossoming transfer window. Wenger is reportedly keen on ensuring he finishes on a high at Arsenal and have shown great interest In Jamie Vardy and Henrikh Mkhitaryan

The Express has reported that Leicester City forward Jamie Vardy is set to undergo medicals at Arsenal as the London club moves a step closer to signing him from the Premier League champions.

There were reports last week that Arsenal have triggered the release clause on the England international’s contract and that the deal may be concluded before EURO 2016.

The 29-year-old drew attention to himself following his scoring exploits in the League last season, which fired the Foxes to the league title.

Arsene Wenger has been on the lookout for a striker and was linked with the likes of Juventus’ Alvaro Morata, Borussia Dortmund’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang among others. Moreover, with the look of things, barring any hitch, Vardy could be an Arsenal player before the end of this week.

Likewise, Wenger still retains his interest in bringing Borussia Dortmund attacking midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan to the Emirates Stadium this summer.

London rivals Chelsea are also said to be interested in the Armenia international but Arsenal are reported to be leading the race to sign the £20 million-rated midfielder.

We have already strengthened the midfield to some extent with the signing of Granit Xhaka from Borussia Monchengaldbach but Wenger wants more additions in that area as he plans to overhaul the squad for the coming season.

The 27-year-old has just a year left on his contract at the German club. He was in impressive form for Dortmund last season, scoring 23 goals and laying up 32 assists in 52 appearances.

Wenger has made known his intentions to reinforce his team this summer and has reportedly been given a transfer kitty enough to make the necessary signings.

He faced serious criticisms from the fans after failing to sign an outfield player last time around, which eventually cost us the title. In addition, to avoid a repeat of that, the 66-year-old is ready to make statements in the transfer market this summer.
