A section of the Arsenal fans have consoled Calum Chambers after he could not help Fulham in their bid to beat the Premier League drop this term.
The England international signed a fresh long-term deal with the Gunners last summer, but he was thereafter loaned out to the Cottagers for the entirety of the 2018/19 season.
At the west London side, Chambers was initially expected to feature at the heart of the backline, but he has rather been a regular choice in the midfield, where he has earned much praise from the Fulham faithful.
As such, he was deeply disappointed with the club’s demotion from the Premier League which was confirmed on Tuesday night, and a few Arsenal fans consoled him following his recent post on Twitter.

The main objective behind Chambers’ switch to Fulham this term was to gain sufficient gametime and league experience, and he has certainly done so despite the club’s struggles on their top-flight comeback.
However, in the majority of the games, he has featured in the defensive and central midfield roles without getting much playing time at the heart of the backline, where his future could lie with the Gunners.
Chambers is scheduled to return to the Gunners in pre-season during the summer, and it will be interesting to see whether he can sufficiently impress manager Unai Emery to settle with the first-team for the forthcoming campaign.
