‘Sign him up’- Arsenal fans react as Yves Bissouma wishes Ben White

Yves Bissouma

Arsenal finally announced the signing of Ben White from Brighton and Hove Albion. This was the second player of The Seagulls to be linked with the club with the first being Yves Bissouma.

The midfielder has emerged as one of the best players in the Premier League outside of the top six. Since arriving from Lille, the Malian has grown into an important part of Graham Potter’s setup along with his former teammate White.

Despite reports earlier emerging that the north Londoners had contacted Brighton about a potential deal, nothing has happened since. After the signing of White was announced, Bissouma posted a farewell message to his friend as he said:

“Ben White all the best to you bro”

This drew a lot of responses from Arsenal fans who commented that the midfielder wants to come to the Emirates. Here are some of the best reactions:

The Gunners are making big strides in the transfer market as they have just signed one of the best young defenders in the Premier League. The club has been linked with a few central midfielders this summer and there are few better than Bissouma.

The combination between the Mali international and Thomas Partey could be one that is dominant and able to control all kinds of games. But with Granit Xhaka looking more likely to stay, it seems that a move for the 24-year-old will not happen.

But as we all know, this time of the footballing calendar is extremely unpredictable and anything can happen between now and the end of the window. Sales by the north Londoners could lead to a change in the situation at the club and they may then start looking at Bissouma as an option.

Arsenal have signed three players so far but it does not feel like they are done with their business. The purchase of White was an important one as it instantly improves the defence and will help the team a lot with their build-up play. The Gunners could start looking at other positions in the squad that need some reinforcements. If that leads to a move for Bissouma, the fans would welcome it.
