Arsenal are back to Premier League action after a hectic FA Cup weekend, we entertain Southampton tonight at the Emirates.
Having got 79 minutes under his belt against Burney in the FA Cup on Saturday, Alexis Sanchez should come back into Arsenal’s league starting XI.
Mesut Ozil looks another sure starter in the attacking role, while Ramsey and Coquelin will provide steel to the midfield.
Per Mertesacker returns from his one-match ban and is expected to be joined by Hector Bellerin, Laurent Koscielny and Nacho Monreal in a back four. Ronald Koeman will again be without Steven Davis for the trip to the Emirates, with the midfielder nursing a minor knock.
Graziano Pelle remains a doubt with a knee injury and was still being assessed on Monday, so the Italian looks set for a place on the bench in a best case scenario.
Charlie Austin will hope to earn his first start for Southampton after scoring on his debut at Old Trafford, but the pace of Sadio Mane and Shane Long could once again be favoured by Koeman from the start.
Arsene Wenger has a few choices to make with regards to selection, but here’s how we think Arsenal will line up against Southampton this Tuesday.
PREDICTED LINE-UP
Petr Cech,
Bellerin, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Monreal,
Coquelin, Ramsey,
Alexis, Ozil, Campbell,
Giroud
A fully rested Alexis looked pretty solid at the weekend, and new boy Mohamed Elneny also impressed; if Arsenal can sort out their defensive wobbles, this should be a winnable game for them.
What do you say Gooners?
