The January window opened a couple of weeks back on New Year’s day signalling the start of that ‘wonderful’ period when clubs reinforce their squads midway through the season in order to give themselves a good chance of finishing in good positions.
Already, some clubs have already made some signings but not so much for our dear club, Arsenal. However, it’s not all gloomy though as the club from rumours circling around is trying, by all means, to finalize a few deals before the end of the window.
As we await official information from the club regarding their transfer business, we have decided to take a moment to reveal the players that Arsenal actually needs henceforth the players that the club should move for.
Before we go into many details, just remember that you can have your say on who you think will end up at Arsenal during this transfer window by simply placing your bet at select sportsbooks, you will need some funds though to start your sports betting adventure, but if you find yourself low on cash, you can opt to buy some online lottery tickets in order to try your luck.
Kalidou Koulibaly
If truth be told, it’s highly unlikely that this transfer will go through during this January transfer window. However, when talking about ‘needs’, then KalidouKoulibaly is the player that Arsenal desperately has to have at this present moment. Koulibaly is a Senegalese central defender who currently plays his trade in Serie A with Napoli.
Koulibaly is a no-nonsense hard tackler defender who doesn’t take any prisoners. With Arsenal struggling immensely in defence in recent times, Koulibaly is exactly the type of defender needed to shore up the Gunner’s backline. Not only does he have the skills required to excel in defence at Arsenal, but he also does have top-level experience as he has featured in the Champions League for his team, Napoli.
As such, it will not take long for him to settle down in the English Premier League. As one of the most sought after defenders in the world right now, it’s difficult to take him away from Napoli in this transfer window but if Arsenal prepares a good bid in the summer, then Kalidou Koulibaly can find himself playing at the Emirates.
Yannick Carrasco
In recent times, Arsenal fans have been calling for the club to sign a natural winger who can take on defenders in 1v1. Yannick Carrasco is exactly that type of player. During his time in Spain with Atletico Madrid, Carasco recorded one of the highest numbers of dribbles per game.
playing his trade in China with Dalian Yifang, Carrasco is open to a move back to Europe. The beauty of this transfer is that Carrasco is ready to take a pay cut to engineer a move back to Europe hence with Arsenal’s strict monetary policy, Carrasco will be the perfect player for the club both on and off the field.
Ousmane Dembele
Ousmane Dembele is another natural winger that Arsenal desperately needs but just like Kalidou Koulibaly, he will be difficult to get during this January transfer window. At the start of the season, Dembele was a bit problematic at his current club, Barcelona as he skipped team meetings and came late to training.
However, that seems to be a thing of the past now as he is now back in Ernesto Valverde’s squad. Difficult to get in this current window, a good bid in the summer, however, may be enough to tempt Barcelona to sell him as the club generally does not like problematic players (behaviour wise).
