Arsenal will look to continue their fine run of form when they take on Brighton & Hove Albion at the Emirates in the final game of the season on Sunday.
The north Londoners could complete their first league double over the Seagulls since the 1980-81 campaign. It won’t be an easy game for the Emirates side as they have won just two of the last seven games against the visitors.
The Gunners, if they win and other results go their way, could qualify for the inaugural edition of the Europa Conference League. The return of fans to the Emirates could provide a vital boost for the players.
Hector Bellerin has been ruled out of the season finale after sustaining a bruising to the bone in his lower leg in the clash against Chelsea earlier this month.
David Luiz, who announced his departure from the club at the end of this season, could have already played his last game for the North London club after suffering a hamstring injury against Newcastle.
Mat Ryan will also not be part of the squad as he cannot play against his parent club, Brighton.
Bernd Leno has been good in goal recently and with Ryan ruled out, the decision to play the German is a no-brainer. Arteta would look to play with the same defence that clinched a victory against Crystal Palace on Wednesday.
However, Granit Xhaka could replace Mohamed Elneny in the midfield pivot. The Swiss has been training with the first team and could return to the starting line-up on Sunday.
Smith Rowe has been exceptional for Arsenal this season however he could be replaced by Martin Odegaard, who would be playing his last game for the Gunners as matters stand right now.
Having scored three goals in the last two games, Nicolas Pepe has almost cemented his place on the right-wing. Bukayo Saka could provide width from the left. Arteta is likely to stick with Aubameyang to lead the attack. The Gabonese would look to finish a disappointing season on a bright note.
Predicted Arsenal Line-up against Brighton
Bernd Leno, Calum Chambers, Rob Holding, Gabriel, Kieran Tierney, Thomas Partey, Granit Xhaka, Nicolas Pepe, Martin Odegaard, Bukayo Saka, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang
