Matt Le Tissier has worrying update on disharmony among Arsenal camp

Arsenal

Arsenal have endured their worst start to a league campaign in the club’s history this season. The grueling start to the campaign saw them slip to the bottom of the Premier League table after losing three games on the bounce.

If this wasn’t concerning enough, the Gunners conceded nine goals and scored none. This string of unimpressive displays has agitated the fans, and many have directed their frustration towards Mikel Arteta.

British pundit, Matt Le Tissier claims he has heard from a source close to the club that the players are at fault for the team’s recent shortcomings. Although some decisions made by the manager are questionable, the team certainly possesses the quality to perform much better.

The journalist disclosed that there is a lack of harmony and togetherness in Arsenal’s dressing room. These have significantly affected the players’ performance on the pitch. This unfavorable situation has made life more difficult for Arteta.

Speaking on the Where’s Jeff podcast, the former Southampton player said:

“I can tell you from a contact inside the Arsenal camp. At Arsenal the problem isn’t with the manager, the problem is all in the changing room from what I’m hearing.

“There is a lot of disharmony in the changing room and that’s something which is very difficult for a manager.

“Even though it might be the players fault, we always know what happens when things goes wrong, and it’s always the manager who carries the can.”

Arsenal Fever View:

There is no justification for the disastrous start to the campaign, but if the claims are true, then there are deep-rooted problems at Arsenal. As always, the manager is the first one to be blamed for the team’s poor run of games and this has been the case here too. Sacking the manager alone will not clear off all the problems at the club.

The fans have been chanting for a massive squad overhaul. The north London club have spent over £150million to bring in reinforcements but failed to offload several players. Unless they find a solution for these players, the problems are going to persist.

It is important to remember Arteta missed some key players because of illness or injury in the opening weeks. Now that most of them are fit to start the next game, there are no more excuses for him not to deliver results. The Spaniard will be under further scrutiny if he fails to secure a positive result against Norwich City this weekend.
