Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is back at the London Colney starting his training alongside fitness coach Craig Gant as he returns from an injury.
The England International missed the end of the Premier League last season after suffering a knee problem in May which ruled him out of contention for Roy Hodgson’s Euro 2016 squad.
The first batch of Arsenal first-team players aren’t due back for training until next week while Arsenal U-21s returned to pre-season training on Tuesday.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has struggled to make an impact after a more than satisfying first season at the Emirates. He endured a frustrating 2015/16 as he struggled for consistency.
The winger scored just once in the Premier league last season and has been a disappointment after his first season at the club with all the injuries and inconsistency.

To be fair, everyone has been saying that for a few years now. I’m happy he’s not being shipped off this summer, but he has been given his chances. Wenger should decide where the team will benefit with him in it, largely in terms of his position on the pitch and see how the pre-season goes.
Hearing Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is determined to stay at Arsenal. Believes he can make impact if injury-free. Big pre-season ahead for him

The Arsenal players that have been in action at international tournaments this summer won’t be involved when pre-season training gets underway next week, but there will still be some familiar faces present, including Santi Cazorla, Kieran Gibbs, Theo Walcott, Nacho Monreal and Per Mertesacker. Granit Xhaka has already paid a visit to the stadium. David Ospina, Joel Campbell will be the first to join from the International Tournaments whereas Sanchez would be out for a while through Ankle injury.
Now that the transfer window is officially open and players coming back to training, we can see the atmosphere building and this is the time when things normally happen.
If I were you, I would keep my eyes open and fingers crossed. Big transfers are on their way with the start of the pre-season training and end of the Euros.
Arsenal have signed a rock to build the team around and with one or two new signings, we’ll see Arsenal back to it’s full firepower.
