As per an update from Portuguese journalist Pedro Almeida, Inter Milan are about to complete a move for Arsenal full-back Hector Bellerin.
The Spaniard who was the first choice right-back for a long time has found chances to be limited with manager Mikel Arteta preferring to use Calum Chambers. Though he is the longest-serving player at the club, the 26-year-old’s time in north London might be coming to an end.
Inter have been linked with Bellerin as they are on the lookout for a replacement for Achraf Hakimi who joined Paris Saint-Germain. Now, it appears that they are close to securing the Spain international. Almeida posted an update about the defender’s situation on his Twitter account as he said:
“Hector #Bellerin will join #Inter from #Arsenal, the deal is practically concluded, and the player can arrive in Italy next week.”

This was backed up by James Benge of CBS Sports who provided more information on this potential deal as he tweeted:
“Hector Bellerin’s agent is in London for talks with Edu to try to break the impasse between Arsenal and suitors over a deal. Arsenal want an obligation for a transfer fee at least, Inter and Atletico Madrid (subject to Kieran Trippier leaving) would favour an option.”

Arsenal Fever View
It has become increasingly clear over the past few months that Arsenal do not see Bellerin as someone who will start many games. Arteta prefers using Chambers as there is more security on the right flank with the Englishman.
And it also makes sense that the north Londoners want an obligation to be included in any deal for the Spaniard as it puts them in a better position. But the longer this deal drags on, they might have to acquiesce to the demands of Inter and agree to an option rather than an obligation.
Arsenal need to start making sales as soon as possible if they are to sign some of their other targets. The funds raised from these deals will be crucial in helping get them the players they want. It is good that a transfer for Bellerin is getting closer and the Gunners will be hoping that the deal is favourable to them.
