A section of the Arsenal supporters have praised the performance of midfielder Aaron Ramsey during the club’s 2-0 triumph over Napoli in the first leg of the Europa League quarter-final.
The Gunners had gone into the game following a disappointing 1-0 loss at Everton, but they made a strong comeback with a delightful performance against Carlo Ancelotti’s side.
Ramsey handed the club with a 1-0 advantage after just 14 minutes following a delightful team move, and they managed to double the scores through a Kalidou Koulibaly own goal 10 minutes later.
The north London side had plenty of more chances to dampen Napoli’s prospects of reaching the semi final stage, but they had to eventually settle for just two goals with a clean sheet to boost.

Phenomenal from Arsenal and especially Aaron Ramsey. How many times have we seen players go off the boil before they move. Heโs in his best form for years.

Ramsey may be leaving the club on a free transfer at the end of the season, but he has shown excellent commitment towards the club’s campaign since becoming a regular starter in the past few months.
Against Napoli, the Welshman was impressive with his showing on both ends of the field, and he should have scored more than once, had he not been denied by goalkeeper Alex Meret, while he fluffed his lines with a clear-cut chance towards the end.
Still, the tie remains wide open with an away leg in Naples to play and the faithful will be hoping that the team can find the scoresheet to dent Napoli’s prospects of making a comeback. Napoli would require four goals to progress, should Arsenal grab a goal at the Stadio San Paolo.
