Some Arsenal supporters were pleased with the performance of midfielder Aaron Ramsey during the club’s 2-0 league win over Newcastle United on Monday night.
The club had come into the game on the back of successive triumphs across all competitions and they continued with the same vein of form with Ramsey opening the scoring at the 30th-minute mark.
The Welshman could not contribute further to the team’s tally before being substituted with a minor concern, but the fans were elated with the contribution from the 28-year-old, who is set to leave the club on a free this summer.

Someone find me a more professional player than Aaron Ramsey! I’m really gonna miss him – he should of been at the club his whole career and Captain pic.twitter.com/F8J4q3gpB8

That’s one of Arsenal’s best performances of the season in my opinion. Totally professional at both ends of the pitch. Ozil and Ramsey superb, Lacazette led the line magnificently and the defence were pretty much rock solid.
Anthony Taylor meanwhile, utterly pitiful.

Tonight was just the latest example of how much of an example Aaron Ramsey has been this season. We all know what’s happening come July, but he gave 100%, put in a shift defensively, motivated his teammates & scored. Hopefully his injury is minor, he deserves a proper send off.

Ramsey has been a regular feature from the starting lineup since his future was decided back in February and this has brought up some of his best performances in the Gunners shirt this term.
Despite having only two months remaining on his current deal, the midfielder has continued to perform with determination for the club, and this has certainly impressed a section of the fans.
Against Newcastle, Ramsey opened the scoring right at the 30th-minute mark, but he could have quite easily bagged a brace, had the referee not chalked off an earlier strike on goal, where Sokratis was adjudged to have fouled Florian Lejeune.
Aside from that, the Welshman also controlled the game by commanding possession of the ball regularly especially from the centre of the park and this setup a fine display with the captain’s armband bestowed upon him.
Ramsey was brought off the playing field with concerns over another muscular problem, but Gunners boss Unai Emery has dismissed the suggestions by revealing that the player was only suffering from cramps.
