Dharmesh Sheth speaks out on Arsenal transfer plans

Arsenal

Speaking to Sky Sports, journalist Dharmesh Sheth mentioned that Arsenal will be busy during this transfer window.

The Gunners have already signed two players in Nuno Tavares and Albert Sambi Lokonga. They are also on the verge of completing a move for Brighton defender Ben White.

Sheth was asked about his opinion on what the north Londoners are doing this summer and he said:

“If you look at what’s happened in the past few months, Bukayo Saka has signed a new long-term contract, Emile Smith Rowe has signed a new long-term contract until 2026, Kieran Tierney as well recently signed a new long-term contract.

“They’ve backed [Mikel Arteta] in the transfer market so far in this transfer window. In have come Nuno Tavares from Benfica, Albert Sambi Lokonga has signed from Anderlecht, Ben White for £50m is incoming – he’s due to take his medical next week.”

And when asked about what to expect from the north Londoners for the rest of the window, Sheth added:

“So, I think they have backed him, and it’s not over as far as this transfer window is concerned. I think Arsenal will prove to be one of the busiest if not the busiest club in this transfer window.”

Arsenal Fever View

The Gunners need to be more active in the transfer market as there are areas of the squad which need an injection of quality such as creative midfield. This is arguably the club’s biggest concern, and they are yet to do anything about it.

It may take till the end of the window, but we should be seeing some kind of movement regarding this. And if the north Londoners manage to make a few more signings, it will reaffirm their commitment to improving the team.

A lot of names have been linked so, it is difficult to know who will end up at the Emirates. Whoever that may be, they should help the Gunners finish higher than eighth.

Arsenal have a chance this summer to put the squad in a better position by buying some great players. They have started on the right note, and it is about following through on that now.
