Raul Sanllehi flies back to London to conclude couple of Arsenal transfer deals

Predicted Arsenal Line-up

Arsenal’s head of football Raul Sanllehi has flown back to London from the USA to put the finishing touches on a couple of transfers, according to reports in Mirror.

The report states that Sanllehi has gone back from the club’s pre-season tour due to the fact that the North London club are close to making a double signing.

With one of them being the Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos who will join the Emirates club on a loan deal. The other player being young French center back William Saliba.

The French defender will come from Saint Etienne but will go back on loan to France for the 2019/20 season. The club is also looking into the transfer of Scottish left-back Kieran Tierney and Sanllehi will play a crucial role in all these deals.

Sanllehi will now be working closely with newly appointed technical director Edu to bring in some high-profile recruitments. The Spaniard’s experience gained during his time at Barcelona will be crucial in guiding the fortunes of the Arsenal team for the next season.

The primary objective for everyone at the club is to take the North London club into the Champions League and signings such as Tierney and Ceballos would certainly go a long way in doing just that. Sanllehi has proven over the years that he is a master negotiator and many of the deals done during his Barcelona days are proof of this.

Arsenal will play Real Madrid next as they continue their pre-season tour of the USA. This will also give fans the chance to see Ceballos in action as the club is closing in on a deal for the midfielder.

For a long time, Arsenal did not have a position such as Head of Football, but with the arrival of Sanllehi that has changed. It is time for him to put his skills to good use and show how he can actually help the Gunners.

If he is able to get manager Unai Emery the players that he wants, then the club will be in a good position and can challenge for major honors during the upcoming season.
