Arsenal Team News ahead of Manchester United game: Bukayo Saka

Arsenal Team News

It is the clash of titans as Arsenal take on Manchester United at Old Trafford on Thursday night, so let’s take a look at the team news.

After an easy win over Newcastle United, the Gunners will be full of confidence ahead of the trip so, is there any player who could miss out?

That victory on Saturday sees the north Londoners sit level on points with West Ham United who are fourth. There is a lot of competition for that coveted spot so, the visitors need to ensure they get a positive result in this match.

The two players who won’t be making the trip up north are Sead Kolasinac and Granit Xhaka, due to long term injuries. Kieran Tierney might be back in the starting XI given the importance of this game.

One big problem for Mikel Arteta is going to be the availability of Bukayo Saka as the winger had to be substituted at the weekend due to an injury. He is being assessed ahead of Thursday and the Gunners will be given a huge boost if he is declared fit.

Arsenal Fever View:

United look like a different team since the departure of Ole Gunnar Solksjaer, as evidenced by the point they got against Chelsea. There were a lot of worrying signs from that game, for the north Londoners, as the hosts showed they have the firepower to score a lot of goals.

For the visitors, it has been their defence and goalkeeper that has kept them in the hunt for the Champions League places. If they want to keep that going, the attack needs to step up and show what they area made of.

Arsenal under Arteta have handled the might of Manchester United very well but this match presents a different kind of challenge. With their attack led by the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Bruno Fernandes and Jadon Sancho, they can blow teams away.

The manager would want his team to play in a compact manner, so they don’t leave space for the United attackers to exploit. Winning on Thursday will give the Gunners some much-needed momentum going forward.
