Arsenal Team News ahead of Everton game: Kieran Tierney, Granit Xhaka

Arsenal Team News

Arsenal need to bounce back on Monday after losing to Manchester United during the week, so let’s take a look at the team news.

Everton are in bad form and that presents a good chance for the Gunners to get a win. There is a lot of competition for the for the Champions League places and the north Londoners need to keep winning to put pressure on West Ham United who are above them.

The one bit of good news for the visitors is that Granit Xhaka is back in full training. The Swiss midfielder has a crucial role to play with his leadership and ability on the ball. Sead Kolasinac is the only long-term absentee after suffering an injury while on international duty.

Apart from that, Mikel Arteta can be happy that he has a full squad to select from. Kieran Tierney should be making his comeback into the team after being out for a prolonged period of time. A few players might be given some rest as the last game was not too long ago.

Arsenal Fever View:

With the Hammers beating Chelsea on Saturday, the need to win this match has increased as far as the Gunners are concerned. Though the hosts are in terrible form, they cannot be taken lightly as they do have players who can cause problems. With the likes of Richarlison and Dominic Calvert Lewin, Rafael Benitez would be hoping his attack clicks.

For Arteta, he needs his attackers to start firing on a much more consistent basis. This was one of the reasons why the north Londoners lost to United. The likes of Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith Rowe have far too much responsibility on their shoulders so, the seniors should start showing what they are made of.

To their credit, Arsenal have managed to keep themselves in the conversation for the fourth spot. Winning games such as this is important to keep that run of form going and the Gunners should be able to get the victory. They need to focus on keeping their attacking flowing and opportunities will start presenting themselves.
