Arsenal Team News against West Ham United: Nketiah, Saliba

Arsenal Team News

Arsenal head into another London derby this Sunday as they travel across the city to take on West Ham United, so let’s take a look at the latest team news.

The Gunners can consider themselves lucky to come away from Anfield with a point in what was a pulsating match. There will be a little disappointment for Mikel Arteta as his team could not get the three points.

As for the team news, the big injury concern is that of William Saliba and the centre back is unlikely to be fit for some time. This will see Rob Holding take the place of the Frenchman as the club hopes he can come back before the end of the season.

The other absentee is Mohamed Elneny but there is some good news with regards to Eddie Nketiah. The striker has returned to training and that gives the manager more options to play around with in terms of the attack.

Arsenal Fever View:

If the north Londoners are to get the win, their hopes lie mainly on the shoulders of their two wingers. Both Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka have been hugely impressive this season and it is their goal scoring exploits that have propelled the team this far.

West Ham are relatively safe from the relegation battle but know that not picking up points can prove to be damaging. That will propel them to fight for every duel, every second ball and at home, they can be excellent.

At this stage of the season, there aren’t any easy games as each team has something to play for. The Gunners know exactly what they have to do and they have the players to get the job done. Gabriel Jesus has found his goal scoring touch and if he can add a few, it will further boost the visitors.

Arsenal have a good record in London derbies this season and will hope that it continues this weekend. As for the hosts, they will want to show that they deserve to stay in the Premier League. It won’t be an easy game as David Moyes will look to his side to be physical and challenge the technical quality of the league leaders.
