Arsenal Team News against Watford: Takehiro Tomiyasu, Smith Rowe

Arsenal Team News

As we head towards the business end of the season, Arsenal will look to continue their winning run when they visit Watford on Sunday, so let’s take a look at the team news.

The north Londoners have a good chance to get the three points and put more pressure on their rivals. They pulled off what could be one of their most significant wins of the campaign when they beat Wolves in injury time last week. Buoyed by that, they will head to Vicarage Road with a lot of confidence and look to put on another good showing.

There is one major concern as far as absentees are concerned with Takehiro Tomiyasu still not fit enough to be part of the team. The Japanese full back looked like he was getting back to full fitness but has suffered an unfortunate setback.

The good news for the north Londoners is that Emile Smith Rowe has returned to training after missing out on the Wolves game. The Englishman is the leading goal scorer for the visitors and his runs from midfield could alter the game.

Arsenal Fever View:

Mikel Arteta will be quite satisfied with where they find themselves at this stage of the season. They have an advantage over their rivals and must do their best to ensure that it does not slip away.

Despite being in the relegation zone, Watford have pulled off some good results and have the players who can cause some damage. In particular, Emmanuel Dennis is one name that the visiting defence will have to be wary about.

With the north Londoners, we have seen that their play in the past few weeks has been more coherent. This is evident in both attack and defence and that bodes well for the rest of the season.

Arsenal need to ensure that they keep their foot on the accelerator as it will help them get back into the Champions League. Given that a lot of teams are still in the fray, these games become even more important. Arteta will look to come away from this trip with another victory.
