Arsenal Team News against Brighton: Saka, Timber

Arsenal Team News

Arsenal will look to win against Brighton and Hove Albion this Saturday to try and keep pace with Liverpool at the top of the table, so let’s take a look at the latest team news.

The Gunners have done extremely well to not let the league leaders out of their sights. But with eight games remaining, every match becomes akin to a final. And the hosts will not make things easy at the Amex Stadium as they look to finish as high as possible in the league.

As for the injury news, the major doubt is Bukayo Saka who was rested on Wednesday as a precaution. If the winger is not deemed fit enough to play, it could result in Gabriel Jesus starting on the wing.

Apart from the Englishman and Jurrien Timber, Mikel Arteta has a full squad to select from. There will be changes from the team that took on Luton Town as the manager looks to rotate his players given how hectic this month is going to be.

Arsenal Fever View:

Eight games left in the league and the north Londoners need to treat them like eight finals. They have to try and win every one of those games if they are to stand any chance of winning. That is the standard that is required to get your hands on the trophy.

The challenge that Brighton possess is a tough one given how good they are both on and off the ball. Arteta will instruct his players to be careful when pressing as there is a chance of a ball being played over the top.

For the visitors, it is a question of taking the chances they create and that hasn’t always been the case with them. It is a test of not just their ability on the pitch but their mentality as well and that needs to be at the very top till the end of the season.

Arsenal would look to get another three points and exert the pressure on their competitors. That is all they can do for now and hope that the glory days return to the north of London. Arteta will hope that his players can take the three points.
