Arsenal receive big injury boost ahead of Norwich City game

Arsenal Team News

Arsenal have confirmed on their official website that a trio of key players will be available for Saturday’s match against Norwich City.

It has been a tough start for the Gunners as they have lost all three Premier League games so far without scoring a goal in the process. They are currently placed at the bottom of the table and it is their worst start to a league campaign ever.

However, Mikel Arteta has been given a boost with the news that all three of Thomas Partey, Ben White and Gabriel are fit to face the Canaries. Partey and Gabriel were injured before the season began and have not played a single game. White on the other hand tested positive for COVID but has recovered.

The pressure is on manager Mikel Arteta who finds himself in a precarious position as the international break comes to an end. If the club’s form does not pick up now, there may be a possibility that the Spaniard might be out of a job when the next international break comes around.

The return of Gabriel is a huge boost for the defence as the Brazilian has qualities that the other centre-backs at the club do not have. He is quick across the ground and is excellent in the air and this makes him a perfect foil for White who is better on the ball.

And getting Partey back is hugely important for the north Londoners as the Ghanaian is considered to be one of the best players in the team. Given that Granit Xhaka has been suspended and Mohamed Elneny is injured, it is the perfect time for the midfield maestro to come back. His presence and all-around skill will be needed to help the Gunners establish the tempo of the game.

The game on Saturday is a must-win one for Arsenal who are staring down the barrel. Having these players back should improve the club’s chances of getting the three points. If they fail to do so, it will send everyone associated with the north Londoners into panic mode. Arteta will be hoping for a happier weekend this time around.
