Arsenal Predicted Lineup Against West Ham

Arsenal predicted Line-up

Arsenal boosted by the points dropped by Liverpool will look to continue their unlikely fight for a Premier League title as they host West Ham United, so let’s look at the predicted lineup.

The Gunners had to dig deep but they were able to get the win against Leicester City thanks to a couple of goals from Mikel Merino. And with the league leaders unable to get a win over Aston Villa, it will give them a little more confidence ahead of the Hammers visiting.

David Raya was able to notch another clean sheet against the Foxes and would want to add one more to his name. As for the defence, it is likely that Ben White makes his first start in a long time and the Englishman will be partnered with young Myles Lewis-Skelly.

William Saliba and Gabriel start as the centre backs and they should have a reasonably comfortable outing against the visitors. Though West Ham have a few good attackers, the centre back pairing will feel confident that they can handle it.

In midfield, Arteta could be inclined to give Jorginho a start as the Italian offers a little more control in the middle of the pitch. This will also allow the manager to offer Thomas Partey a little rest.

The rest of the midfield will be comprised of Declan Rice and Martin Odegaard and these two will be crucial in helping set the tempo of the game. The captain in particular would look to use his intelligence and ability on the ball to unlock thee visiting defence.

In attack, the north Londoners might have stumbled upon an unlikely solution in the form of Mikel Merino. The Spaniard could start as the central striker as his hold-up play could prove to be beneficial. He will be flanked by Ethan Nwaneri and Leandro Trossard.

Arsenal know that their challenge to reach the top of the table is not going to get any easier. Though Liverpool might have dropped some points, they are the ones who are in a strong position. For the hosts, they need to focus on winning as many games as possible and hope for the best.
