Arsenal Predicted Lineup

Arsenal travel to the Netherlands to face PSV after a disappointing draw against Southampton at the weekend, so let’s take a look at the predicted lineup.

The Gunners got only a point against the Saints but it was enough to keep them at the top of the Premier League. With qualification to the knockout rounds secured in the Europa League, the English side would want to finish top of their group.

Matt Turner will return in goal and the American has been impressive in his brief appearances so far. As for the full backs, it is going to be Takehiro Tomiyasu on the right with Kieran Tierney lining up on the left.

Rob Holding is expected to replace Willliam Saliba to go along with the Brazilian Gabriel. The latter has just signed a contract extension with the club and would be keen to show why the club has placed so much faith in him.

In midfield, Thomas Partey is one player that will be rested as the Ghana international needs to be saved for the league. In his place, Sambi Lokonga will be lining up alongside Granit Xhaka. The Swiss maestro has scored in his last two games and would want to keep that run of form going.

As for the attack, the north Londoners would prefer to give Bukayo Saka a rest and that should see Marquinhos get a chance to start. The youngster has already scored in the competition and shown glimpses of his talent. In a more central role, we can see Fabio Vieira replace Martin Odegaard and Gabriel Martinelli will be on the left wing.

Eddie Nketiah will replace Gabriel Jesus and the Englishman would like to find the back of the net. The striker has been playing well but that final bit of luck isn’t going his way. He should get a few chances to change that on Thursday.

Arsenal will be full of confidence despite that minor setback they faced at Southampton. Though the team will be heavily rotated, we can expect to see some big names take to the field. Arteta will be quietly hopeful that his players can return with the three points.
