Arsenal will return to Premier League action after the international break as they host Norwich City on Saturday, so let’s take a look at the predicted lineup.
The Gunners have made a terrible start to the season by losing three games on the trot and there is a lot of pressure on Mikel Arteta to get the team back on track. Against the Canaries, they would be looking to get a much-needed win and we can expect to see a strong playing XI from the boss.
Bernd Leno will start in goal as the north Londoners line up in their usual 4-2-3-1 formation. After a change in their defensive structure against Manchester City, the Gunners will be back to a more traditional setup.
This will see Calum Chambers start on the right with Kieran Tierney lining up on the left. And it should be the first time we get to see Ben White and Gabriel start in the centre of defence.
Arteta will be forced to make changes in the centre of midfield. The return of Thomas Partey is a huge boost for the team, and he will slot in straight away. His usual partner Granit Xhaka is suspended following a red card against City. And Mohamed Elneny is carrying an injury and that should see youngster Albert Sambi Lokonga partner the Ghanaian.
For the Gunners to emerge victorious on Saturday, the attacking trio playing behind the striker will need to click. This will consist of Martin Odegaard, Nicolas Pepe and Bukayo Saka.
The Norwegian will be the one who brings others into the game with his passing. As for Saka and Pepe, they are expected to use their ability on the ball to trouble the Norwich defence.
After a tough outing against City, captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will be the one leading the line for Arsenal. This is a game where the centre forward should get quite a few opportunities to score. If the attackers supporting Aubameyang can get the ball to him regularly, the hosts can notch their first win of the season.
