Arsenal Predicted Lineup

Arsenal welcome Manchester United on Sunday as they face a familiar foe in a hugely important clash, so let’s take a look at the predicted lineup.

The Gunners are on a real high at the moment as they sit on the top of Premier League with a substantial lead. Beating Tottenham would have given the players a real boost and that would be needed at the Emirates this weekend.

Aaron Ramsdale is in goal and will have quite a tough time keeping the United attack at bay. As for the full backs there aren’t going to be any changes. Ben White and Alex Zinchenko will be on the right and left flank respectively.

Arteta will be able to field his usual centre back pairing of William Saliba and Gabriel as their ability on the ball will come in handy. They need to be better prepared in dealing with counter attacks as that was a real problem in the reverse fixture.

In central midfield, the combination of Thomas Partey and Granit Xhaka have an important role to play. The latter will be stationed a little further back than he usually is to help Partey deal with runners from the visiting attack.

Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli and Martin Odegaard form the trio that will be in front of the midfield two. Their ability to interchange and stretch the play will be crucial in the creation of chances. The captain in particular with his knack of finding the right pass could prove to be the key that unlocks the United defence.

Eddie Nketiah has proven to be an able deputy in the absence of Gabriel Jesus. The Englishman keeps finding himself in great positions to score and Arteta would be hoping that he can pull it off on Sunday.

Arsenal have shown that they can stand up to the challenges that are thrown their way so far. Manchester United seemed to have turned a corner under Erik ten Hag and look dangerous especially on the counter. Getting the better of them is not going to be easy which makes this a really intriguing contest.
