Arsenal enter the business end of the season as they have the Premier League title in their sights starting with a home game against Leeds United, so let’s take a look at the predicted lineup.
The international break would have given some of the players a chance to get a bit of rest and that is important ahead of the next two months. Last time against Leeds, the Gunners had one of their tougher games and can expect more of the same.
Aaron Ramsdale will start in goal as the keeper continues his quest to win the Golden Glove and would love to add another clean sheet. There aren’t going to be any changes with regards to the full backs. Ben White will line up on the right with Alex Zinchenko on the left.
As for the centre backs, William Saliba is out for this game and could be on the sidelines for a longer time. As a result of that, Rob Holding will get another start along with Gabriel and the Englishman will have to be disciplined to deal with the Leeds attackers.
Thomas Partey should be fit for the weekend as the Ghana international will be with his usual partner Granit Xhaka. The Swiss midfielder might have to play a little deeper than usual as the north Londoners do not have the recovery pace of Saliba to rely on.
Further ahead, it is going to be the regular trio of Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard and Gabriel Martinelli. All three have scored 10 goals or more in the league and are leading the attack in many ways. Their combination will be the key to unlocking the visiting defence.
There is a doubt as to who will start as the centre forward between Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Jesus. This is a fantastic problem to have for the Gunners and it is more likely to be the Belgian given that the Brazilian has just returned from an injury.
Arsenal will know that there aren’t going to be any easy games till the end of the season. Beating Leeds will not be easy but with the talent they have, it should be taken care of. They will also have an eye on the Manchester City vs Liverpool game as well.
