Arsenal Predicted Lineup

Arsenal return to Premier League action on Sunday as they host Crystal Palace in a bid to increase their lead at the top to eight points, so let’s take a look at the predicted lineup.

The Gunners had a disappointing exit in the Europa League as they lost to Sporting on penalties. Now, they can fully focus on the league as there are just 11 games left in the season. How they respond against the Eagles will show what these players are made of.

Aaron Ramsdale will stay in goal and would want to get a clean sheet. As for the full backs, it is going to be Arteta’s favourite pair of Ben White and Alex Zinchenko. These two need to be careful as Palace have some tricky players on the wings.

There is some doubt regarding the availability of William Saliba who had to be substituted early on Thursday. If the Frenchman doesn’t make it in time, Rob Holding would take his place. Gabriel is going to be the other centre back and his aerial presence and ability on the ball will be important.

Thomas Partey will return in the centre of midfield as the Ghana international replaces Jorginho who didn’t have a great game during the week. Granit Xhaka will be the other midfielder and these two will help bring some stability in the middle of the pitch.

Bukayo Saka who was rested for some time against Sporting will return on the right wing. In the middle, Martin Odegaard will be back and his passing and pressing are so crucial to the team playing well. Gabriel Martinelli will be on the left and would look to make up for his missed penalty.

In attack, the north Londoners would have Gabriel Jesus in the middle as the striker is slowly working his way towards match fitness. His ability to bring others into the game and pressing from the front is sure to make a difference.

Arsenal know the task at hand as the Premier League has become their only shot at silverware. They have a lead over Manchester City and now, there is an opportunity to extend it. Palace who will have a new manager won’t be easy to beat.
