With the Euros approaching fast, football fans are mindlessly going through all the expert tips & predictions about the next European champ online. The European Football Championship is always a blast with and the new and improved format officially introduced in 2016 added even more flair to the tournament. There have always been surprises in the Euros – from Greece’s stunning run in 2004 to Portugal capturing its first title last time around, excitement is not a thing the Euros lack.

There’s only a short time to go until the 2020 edition which is the first time the tournament will be held in 12 different countries. Held across 12 amazing Euro 2020 stadiums which have been selected as the best in their respective countries, the matches will surely be a spectacle. Wembley Stadium in London was selected to host the semi-finals and the final that will certainly delight football fans across the UK.

Bookies have already opened a number of markets for the tournament and punters are excited to place bets on all the favourites. Great news for English fans – England are among the biggest favourites early on, with France trailing right behind. Surprisingly, defending champion Portugal is nowhere near the top – as it seems, Cristiano Ronaldo will have a lot to prove.

Many Arsenal players will be in action at the upcoming Euros with their respective countries. Let’s see the ones the football world should look out for.

England

Arsenal has a host of young players eager to see the Euro 2020 action. If you ask us, they all deserve a chance. Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Reiss Nelson, and Rob Holding could all make their first appearance at the Euros as is Arsenal’s teenage sensation Bukayo Saka.

The 18-year old Saka has impressed everyone with his play this season and already grabbed his first couple of goals as a Gunner. He can play as a winger, wing-back, and left-back, and that kind of versatility may be the reason for Gareth Southgate picking him for the Euros. Bukayo Saka has already had a good run in England’s U19 squad, so he could be in for a maiden England appearance this summer.

France

Arsenal’s French colony is definitely shorter than before, with only 2 players expected to be named in France’s squad for the Euro 2020. Mateo Guendouzi and Alexander Lacazette will surely feature in some capacity, especially Laca. The striker may be having a subpar season so far, but he has plenty of time to turn things around and enter Deschamp’s squad.

When it comes to Guendouzi, he’s yet to make his senior French national team debut but widely tipped to make the Euro squad. If he has a strong showing under Mikel Arteta, we fully expect the same. While on the subject of France, the team is absolutely loaded on talent and is almost a lock for the title. France has a stellar list of attacking options led by Kylian Mbappe, so expect Les Bleus to launch a serious campaign for the trophy.

Spain

Hector Bellerin and Dani Ceballos are the two Arsenal Spaniards that are a lock for the Spain Euro 2020 team should they remain healthy. Both players have already made their debuts – Ceballos was player of the tournament at UEFA’s European U21 Championship in 2017.

With compatriot Arteta at the wheel, Ceballos and Bellerin are expected to see more playing time which will surely boost their chances of making Luis Enrique’s squad. Ceballos has been great for Arsenal this year. If he’s at his best form in the summer, he could make Spain a serious threat to Portugal’s throne.
