Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette has made a decision not to leave the club this summer and will see out his contract as per The AFCBell.
The Frenchman who came to the Emirates in the summer of 2017 has entered the final year of his deal with the Gunners. Though earlier reports claimed that the player could be on his way out, nothing has happened as of now.
And as per The AFCBell, Lacazette has decided to stay with the north Londoners until next summer and the player’s camp does not expect any more developments in this transfer window. The 30-year-old can start talking to clubs after the first of January as he would be eligible to sign a pre-contract.
This news has not been received well by fans of the Emirates club who are upset that the club is losing another player for free. This has happened earlier with the likes of Aaron Ramsey and the supporters do not want a repeat of that. They took to Twitter to express their unhappiness and here are some of the best reactions:
It’s unfortunate what happened to Arsenal

It would have been in the best interest of the Gunners if they had sold the French forward. Not only would this have given them some much-needed funds, but it would also have allowed the club to give Folarin Balogun more minutes to play.
But it looks like the north Londoners are stuck with Lacazette for at least one more season. While the player can pop up with some important contributions every now and then, he has not proven himself to be an elite striker.
The only consolation in keeping the Frenchman is that he would be a good backup for captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. Should the Gabonese forward need a rest or if manager Mikel Arteta wants to try something different, the France international could come in.
Arsenal have not been good at getting value for their players over the last few years and that trend seems to continue with Lacazette looking to see out the rest of his current deal. If the Gunners were thinking about restructuring their front line, they are going to have to wait for another season. Until then, they will have to make to do with the former Lyon man.
