England international Kieran Gibbs is reportedly on the cusp of leaving Arsenal amid advanced negotiations with Turkish giants Galatasaray.
The 27-year-old full-back has not featured for the Gunners this term with the likes of Oxlade-Chamberlain and Hector Bellerin having occupied the left wing-back position.
Moreover, Gibbs also has competition from regulars Nacho Monreal and Sead Kolasinac, and his future at the Emirates looks bleak following a frustrating campaign last term, where he managed just 11 league outings.
According to Fanatik, Gibbs could be the next Gunner to be shown the exit door as he is in advanced talks over a switch to Galatasaray.
Wenger has already iterated his desire to reduce the numbers in his first-team squad, and this has seen Gabriel make his move to Valencia, whilst Carl Jenkinson and Cohen Bramall have been allowed to pursue loan deals with Birmingham City.
As per the report, Gibbs’ father is working alongside Ozil’s agent Erkut Sogut, who is acting as the middleman as they look to finalise the left-back’s move to Istanbul.
The deal could be finalised by Wednesday with Galatasaray likely to part with a fee of just around £3.7m in order to secure his signature this summer.
The transfer valuation does come as a huge surprise as the Gunners were initially holding for around £12m- £15m in order to part ways with Gibbs.
Both Newcastle United and West Bromwich Albion are said to have previously expressed an interest in the England international, but his reluctance to take a pay cut on his £60,000-a-week wages appear to have ended their interest.
