Arsenal are hoping to land Alvaro Morata ahead of Chelsea by offering the Spanish striker an eye-watering deal worth £144,000-a-week, which would make him the second highest earner at the Emirates Stadium as well as put him into a salary bracket according to talkSPORT.
Arsenal fans have long been requesting for a big name striker and Arsenal’s manager is in the market to get a new striker having already made a move for Jamie Vardy earlier, who has chosen to stay back at Leicester.
The Spain international rejoined La liga giants Real Madrid after they trigger a £23m buyback clause inserted in his transfer when he was sold to the Serie A defending champions Juventus two years back. Madrid are now set to move him on in order to make profits.
In recent weeks, Arsenal are among the clubs who have again been linked with the 23-year-old ace along with the like of Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea.
The report from Spanish outlet AS via talkSPORT claims that we are ready to land Morata ahead of rivals by offering him an eye-watering deal worth £144,000-a-week in order to lure him.
Personally I think one striker capable of improving the Gunners’ attack would be Morata. His pace, clever movement, brilliant technique and quality finishing would make him the perfect foil for Ozil’s vision in the final third.
Although, he was not too impressive last season netting just 12 goals in 47 games for Juventus, the Italian style of football does not suit him, and it is perhaps because of this that he may be in favor of a move to the premier league.
Wenger is serious about making reinforcements in this team, and his approach this summer shows how ready he is to face the competition the likes of Jose Mourinho, Pep Guardiola and Antonio Conte for the premier league crown.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic joined Manchester United on a free transfer and it has been reported that PSG are now in search for a new as they can’t rely on Cavani alone. I think they could be our main competition for Morata.
The only thing left now is for Morata to make up his mind about moving to the Premier League. If that is the case we have a better chance of landing him ahead of others rivals.
