Arsenal have agreed personal terms with Gonzalo Higuain for a 5 years deal worth around £7.6m-per-season but the Gunners still needs to agree fee with the Serie A club, Napoli, according to Italian journalist Emanuele Giulianelli.
The Gunners gaffer Arsene Wenger is on the lookout of signing a another striker this summer after he missed out on Leicester city’s striker Jamie Vardy, and Higuain is one of the name that have been strongly linked with a move to the north London over the recent weeks.
Earlier yesterday, the report from the Italian news outlet Calciomercato claimed that Wenger was willing to offer the Serie A club £42.6m plus the Gunners key player, Olivier Giroud, in exchange for Higuain’s signature this summer.
It seem the Gunners as now stepped-up their interest as the journalist Giulianelli – who usually works for Gazatta dello Sport – has made it open on the social media, Twitter, that the Gunners have agreed personal terms with the Argentine striker’s agent and brother, Nicolas Higuain, that will see the highly-rated earning around £7.6m (€9m) per season for his five stay at the Emirates.
However, the Journalist further stated that while the Gunners officials bid is yet to be put up to the club, the Serie A giants are expected to throw out the Gunners proposed player-swap deal and demand a cash worth £66.5m (€78m), which I am not in full support.

Napoli unlikely will accept the offer of 60mln + Giroud: they want all cash, 70mln + 8mln easy bonus. #Arsenal

All the rumours on the 28-year-old ace deal are coming from Italy so I think we shouldn’t take these reports as a genuine one maybe the Argentine international brother is using the Gunners name to dispense information to the media to try and generate interest in the striker.
Personally, I think the Gunners are making good attempt to lure the workaholic striker has had been delivering a brilliant service ever since he join the Napoli but I don’t think using Giroud will be a good idea, only if Wenger will be buying another striker in addition with Higuain because the Gunners needs to make up for injuries
The Gunners main priority this summer is luring a striker this summer to improve their striking-force. I personally think the best option is luring a striker to compete with Giroud not swapping Giroud for other striker.
