After being let go by Tottenham, Pochettino has become one of the most sought after managers in the game. Even Arsenal who happen to be Spurs’ biggest rivals are in the hunt for the Argentine(as per Express).
Now the man himself has spoken about the news linking him with the post of the Arsenal manager. He is currently on holiday but when asked by TyC Sports(via Metro), he said:
“It’s important to have a moment of calm to lower the decibels and find the energy to take on a new project, and we’ll see where that is.
“I’m going to spend a few days here [in Rosario] with my family and friends, and then I’ll return to London next week.”
Pochettino smiles when Arsenal are mentioned at 00.44:
Pochettino’s interview. He was asked about his plans. But look at the reaction of his face when the reporter mentions @Arsenal. Very interesting! He is set to return next week and choose his next project. Out of everything he has available, managing the Gunners is a possibility. pic.twitter.com/sgM3q6K4jw

Pochettino was speaking on the rumors that had linked him with both Bayern Munich as well as Arsenal job. Gunners fans will be happy that he did not rule out the possibility of joining them. If the Arsenal board can bring him to the club, it will be a major coup as well as a massive statement of intent.
Though he was sacked by Spurs, Pochettino has become one of the most impressive coaches during his time in England. He even took the North London side to the Champions League final last year where they lost to Liverpool. Among the choices that are available to the Gunners, he would represent one of the best selections.
The Gunners are undergoing a very difficult phase and they need to get out of it as quickly as possible. For that to happen, it is important that they get a good coach/manager to come in. And they couldn’t really go wrong with Pochettino.
He already has the experience of the Premier League and he will also not have a language barrier. Perhaps he could be the man to get the Gunners back into the Champions League. Arsenal made the right decision by getting rid of Unai Emery but now they find themselves at a crossroads.
If they do not make the right appointment, it will end up harming the future of Arsenal. So, they should go ahead with an option that will work and giving Pochettino the opportunity will do that. He will also get to show Spurs what they missed out on and that alone should be motivation enough for him to jump over the North London divide.
