A section of the Arsenal supporters have urged manager Freddie Ljungberg to offer Gabriel Martinelli with a maiden start in the Premier League clash against Brighton & Hove Albion tonight.
The Gunners recently dismissed Unai Emery from the head coach position but that has not brought a positive reaction from the players as they played out a disappointing 2-2 draw at Norwich City last weekend.
As a result, the club’s winless streak in all competitions has extended to eight matches and this has certainly frustrated some of the Gunners supporters, who have been yearning for the team to end their wretched form.
Ahead of the Brighton game, a selection of Arsenal fans have urged interim boss Freddie Ljungberg to make a huge decision in the attack by involving Martinelli from the off.
Martinelli has been successful in the Cup competitions this term and he has contributed seven goals from just five starts in the League Cup and the Europa League.
In this period, he has impressed with his quick movement, dribbling and the strong finishing with both his head and feet, and this has caught the attention of the club’s faithful.
Whether he starts against Brighton is still unclear but here are some of the tweets urging Ljungberg to offer an opportunity to the young Brazilian from the starting lineup.

Would really love to see Martinelli start tonight. In 3 starts at the Emirates he's got 3 goals and 2 assists, albeit in the Europa League.

Martinelli gives us dynamism in the final third and his movement is superb, would also allow Auba to play down the middle. #AFC pic.twitter.com/8LWymdP6On
