Arsenal striker and captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has provided a social media update for the Gunners fans following the club’s 2-2 Premier League draw against Norwich City away from home.
The Gunners witnessed the dismissal of Unai Emery from the head coach position on Friday and that saw Freddie Ljungberg handed with the managerial role on an interim basis.
As a result, there was much optimism that the Gunners could end their seven-match winless streak across all competitions but that was not meant to be and the club were lucky to come out of the Norwich game with the draw.
Aubameyang and goalkeeper Bernd Leno were undoubtedly the standout performers on both ends of the field and the former contributed both of the club’s goals while ending his two-match league streak without scoring.
Following the stalemate at Carrow Road, Aubameyang made sure to thank the supporters, who made the trip to East Anglia to watch the Gunners in action.
Here is his tweet…
Aubameyang bagged his ninth and tenth Premier League goals of the season at Norwich on Sunday and he has certainly continued to remain consistent in the frontline.
However, his performances have not necessarily provided the club with regular victories and this has largely resulted from a defence, which has looked vulnerable during the first half of the season.
Ljungberg has been handed with the temporary charge to find a solution and it remains to be seen whether the club can provide a better defensive resolve when Brighton make the Emirates trip on Thursday.
