A few Arsenal supporters were unimpressed with the performance of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang upfront during the recent Europa League round of 16 clash against Rennes on the road.
The Gunners went into the game with a four-match unbeaten streak and they had the opportunity to maintain the run with another solid performance.
However, things went pear-shaped after the sending off of Sokratis before the break and they eventually succumbed to a disappointing 3-1 defeat despite opening the scoresheet in the third minute.
Following the game, a section of the supporters voiced their concern over the form of Aubameyang, who has bagged the solitary goal for the club since the beginning of January.

Aubameyang has looked short of confidence and form over the past month, and this was quite evident during the recent derby against Tottenham Hotspur where he squandered a late penalty chance in a 1-1 stalemate.
With another repeat performance at Rennes, he is unlikely to receive the favour of a starting role against Manchester United for the weekend, and it would not be surprising, should Alexandre Lacazette lead the line after missing out the Rennes trip through suspension.
Elsewhere, Aaron Ramsey could be entrusted with the number 10 role on Sunday after the Welshman showed a positive workrate during the dying stages against Rennes where he tried to track the run of Ismaila Sarr when the likes of Matteo Guendouzi seemed disinterested for the same.
Arsenal are currently just one point behind Manchester United in the pursuit of the final Champions League spot, and the weekend’s game should be crucial to deciding whether they can remain in touch in the top four race.
