Arsenal supporters were pleased with the news that midfielder Mohamed Elneny had signed a new contract with the club.
The Egypt international has been with the Gunners since the winter of 2016, and he has now penned a long-term deal which will keep him at the Emirates before the length of his previous contract, which was due to expire in June 2020.
Elneny has been one of the Gunners’ underrated players having not come with the same reputation as some of his teammates.
Nevertheless, he has done a credible job whenever he has earned his chance of the playing field, and the fans were excited by the club’s announcement over his extension.

Same with Ramsey. I personally think Ramsey will sign but we'll see. I'm happy Elneny has signed, played well for us since we've signed him and always gives his all imo. He can frustrate me but what player doesn't?

Obviously, the fans are now desperate to have both Jack Wilshere and Aaron Ramsey commit their futures, but their respective deals may prolong for a while for different reasons.
Wilshere has apparently reached a contract standoff with the club over the wages, and as things stand, he is being tipped to leave the Emirates with the club having made their final offer.
On the contrary, Ramsey clarified earlier in the month that talks over a contract are yet to proceed with the club placing the focus on other individuals at the current point of time.
Arsenal return to Premier League action on Sunday against Stoke City at the Emirates Stadium before hosting CSKA Moscow in the Europa League quarter-final first-leg, four days later.
