Arsenal are reportedly open to the possibility of selling right-back Hector Bellerin during the summer transfer window.
The 22-year-old has been far off from his best form for the Gunners since putting pen-to-paper on a new contract back in November 2016.
According to The Mail, the north London side are prepared to part ways with Bellerin, should any club be willing to match their £50m asking price for the right-back.
The report adds that the sum received will be used part of a summer spending spree, which may see as many as three players arrive at the Emirates Stadium under the guidance of new head of recruitment Sven Mislintat.
The German is said to have played a significant role in reuniting Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in January as well as signing Konstantinos Mavropanos from PAS Giannina, and there may be further movement during the summer.
As per The Mail, the Capital outfit are looking to recruit a new goalkeeper, a centre-back and a defensive midfielder in the next transfer window, in order to better the club’s chances of competing for the Premier League title.
Bellerin has been the undisputed first-choice for the right-back duties over the past couple of years, but it appears that the club may have found a replacement within their ranks to encourage the Spaniard’s exit in the summer.
Calum Chambers and Rob Holding are both genuine candidates to slot into the position, but Ainsley Maitland-Niles has shown plenty of promise through the season, which suggests that he could be the player, who could succeed Bellerin.
