Arsenal will seek to return to winning ways in the Premier League when they entertain Watford at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.
The Gunners picked up a morale-boosting 2-0 triumph over AC Milan in the Europa League round of 16 on Thursday night, and this should enhance their chances of ending a three-match losing streak in the top-flight.
Formation: 4-2-3-1
Lineup:
Petr Cech made a couple of notable blunders against Brighton last weekend, but he is still likely to get the nod over David Ospina for the Hornets clash. The veteran will be eyeing his 200th Premier League clean sheet.
Calum Chambers is likely to return from cramps to start at right-back whilst Ainsley Maitland-Niles could feature in the opposite direction ahead of Sead Kolasinac, who is deemed doubtful.
The central defensive pairing of Laurent Koscielny and Shkodran Mustafi have remained unchanged in recent weeks, and Wenger will likely to prolong with the same combination after a well deserved clean sheet in Milan.
Wenger is likely to stick with the 4-2-3-1 formation for the weekend, and this could see Granit Xhaka and Aaron Ramsey taking up the central midfield duties.
Further forward, Mesut Ozil and Henrikh Mkhitaryan are likely to slot into the right and left side of the Gunners’ attack with Jack Wilshere in the number 10 position whilst Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is very much certain to lead the line.
Prediction:
Arsenal are likely to come up with a strong response after their away triumph at Milan, and we are anticipating at least three goals.
