Arsenal are reportedly in talks to sign Bordeaux striker Malcom and the talks are progressing well, according to reliable journalist Bruno Andrade.
The 20-year-old has been strongly linked with a move away from France for some time now and has attracted interest from multiple Premier League clubs including the likes of Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.
The attacker has been in good form scoring 7 goals and assisting 4 times in 20 appearances for the League 1 club this season. Reporter Bruno Andrade, who works for Goal.com revealed that the Gunners are already in talks with Malcom and the discussions are progressing well.
He posted this on his Twitter Handle:
Publiquei na semana passada que o Arsenal entrou na briga pelo ex-corintiano Malcom. Hoje escuto que as conversas estão avançando bem
— Bruno Andrade (@brunoandrd) January 5, 2018
And the tweet translates to:
“I posted last week that Arsenal came into the fray for former Corinthian Malcolm. Today I hear that the conversations are progressing well.”
It seems Malcom’s move to Premier League is inevitable as Metro earlier in the day revealed that the striker is taking English lessons ahead of his move to England citing the player’s Instagram post. However, that post doesn’t exist at the time of writing this article.
The Brazilian has outstanding dribbling skills and is a classic winger with a vast range of trickery in the final third, making him unpredictable in one-on-one situations. He also has excellent long-range shooting ability, as he’s shown this season n multiple occasions.
He has operated mostly as a winger at Bordeaux but many French analysts believe he will ultimately develop into a No.10 playing behind one or two strikers. He has a great eye for the final pass and will become a better player with a better attacking talent surrounding him.
As per reports, his price tag is around £44 million and although it looks a bit steep, given the inflated transfer market these days it’s not as outlandish as the player is young and has great potential to become one of the best in the business.
With the possibility of losing 2 of your top talents this month, the North London club have a tough task of finding replacements and it seems Malcom could be the one being aimed to replace Sanchez possibly.
