Arsenal are due to meet up with the agent of Sampdoria striker Patrik Schick ahead of a potential move for his services in the summer.
The 21-year-old has impressed in his maiden Serie A campaign this term, and this has caught the attention of Gunners scouts among others in the Premier League.
According to The Mail, agent Pavel Paska will be present in the English capital later this afternoon where he will hold discussions with Arsenal officials.
The report adds that the likes of Tottenham Hotspur, Crystal Palace and Everton are also keen on Schick, who is now a full international with the Czech Republic.
Schick, still 21, previously plyed his trade for Sparta Prague and Bohemians in his home nation before heading to Italy with Sampdoria last summer.
He has since been used mostly as a second-half substitute, but his tally of seven goals – six of the bench, has captured the interest from a host of English clubs.
The 6ft 2in marksman possesses a huge threat from set pieces, and he could be earmarked as a potential replacement for Alexis Sanchez, who is in a contract standoff at the Emirates.
The Chile international has shone in the centre-forward position this term with 18 goals and nine assists in the top flight, but it appears more and more that he will part ways with the Gunners, who are reluctant to match his hefty £250,000-a-week plus wage demands.
Schick currently has a buy-out clause of around £21m in his present contract, and he could emerge as a potential signing for the Gunners, whose manager Arsene Wenger does favour a bargain or two in the transfer market.
Wenger is due to make a decision on his managerial future following this weekend’s key Premier League clash against Manchester City which could define the remainder of the campaign.
