Robert Lewandowski is growing increasingly unsettled at Bayern Munich and is reportedly considering a move to the Premier League, according to report from The Sun.
A report from Mirror further states that the Gunners have been put on alert after the striker expressed heavy interest in moving to England.
The Poland striker is growing increasingly frustrated at the Allianz Arena as he feels he has achieved everything with the Bundesliga outfit and the playmaker is now keen to test himself elsewhere.
Lewandowski is a player who has the talents to represent any club in the world and top clubs from England along with Arsenal are understood to be interested.
The same report goes on to suggest that the Poland front man strikers representatives are in talks with FC Bayern over a possible contract extension, and he’s told close friends he’s willing to listen to other offers and could push for a move after Euro 2016.
Enormously speculation is flying around these days, one doesn’t know how much truth is behind this report, nevertheless, not getting enthusiastic about Arsenal signing Lewandowski would prove difficult.
He is one of the best strikers in the world and has helped Bayern to win another title last season by netting 42 goals in all competitions. If such performances can be repeated at the Emirates Stadium it could result in Arsenal’s Premier League drought.
If we sign him, it would be a sensational signing for the club and we’d finally have the world class striker we’ve been crying out for all these years. Can you imagine Lewandowski up front with the likes of Sanchez and Ozil in support? It would be a mouthwatering prospect, that’s for sure.
However, I don’t think anything will happen this summer and even if Bayern do agree to cash-in, I suspect we might face some stiff competition for his signature as Arsenal are not the only suitors.
Not only would English clubs such as Man Utd, Chelsea and Manchester City most likely be interested, but I have a feeling Real Madrid would also be willing to bring the Poland international to the Santiago Bernabeu.
Do you think Lewandowski move will favor the North London outfit or Wenger should rather sign someone else?
