Granit Xhaka has been in the news for some weeks now with different reports linking him with a move to Arsenal.
There were reports of him being on the verge of signing for Arsenal and another reports, from Germany, of the two clubs involved stalling on price, with Borussia Monchengladbach reportedly holding on to their €45 million valuation of the player as against Arsenal’s offer of €43 million.
However, the latest news has it that the Swiss midfielder is on his way to London to put pen to papers for Arsenal. As per reports in the Daily Star sourced from Starsport, the midfielder has already arrived in London and will complete in the next few hours.
Earlier in the day, a journalist claiming to Xhaka’s close friend, Artan Muhaxhiri posted on his Facebook page that the 23-year-old is on his way to England capital to finalize his transfer with the Emirates outfits.

However, according to Sport Witness, there are no reports regarding Xhaka’s travelling to London on Switzerland and Germany media.
This recent reports cannot be confirmed or denied since the source is not very reliable. Despite that, the fans would be happy to see Xhaka’s transfer finalised.
Wenger has been criticised for not signing an outfield player last summer but has shown seriousness in rebuilding the squad ahead of next season.
Moreover, he is determined to get most of his transfer deals done before the European championship next month.
Should he eventually complete Xhaka transfer as rumoured, Juventus Alvaro Morata is the next in line, with a bid £51 million to be reportedly offered for the forward.
Report has it last month that Arsenal were assured of signing Xhaka and Gladbach sporting director Max Eberl confirmed an offer was received for the player this week, however he ignored to name the bidding club.
Eberl told Bild:
“There is an offer, but it does not mean that we will allow Granit a transfer for that price. We really don’t need to discuss the fee proposed in the offer.”
