Arsenal are reportedly ready to spend £80 million this summer in view of the rebuilding exercise of the team.
The Gunners blew up the chance to claim the Premier League title this season and Arsene Wenger has come intense criticism over his failure to sign an outfield player last summer. The £10 million signing of Petr Cech from Chelsea was the main recruit last summer.
The Sun reported that the french man is planning to bring in Borussia Monchengladbach Granit Xhaka, Juventus Alvaro Morata and Borussia Dortmund Henrikh Mkhitaryan. Reinforcing the attack became Wenger priority following the latest knee injury to Danny Welbeck, which will keep him on the sidelines for nine months.
A bid of £30 million has aleady been submitted for Xhaka with agreements between the two clubs said to be imminent while the North London club are ready to step up the pursuit who could also cost up to £30 million.
Mkhitaryan is being seen as a potential replacement for Alexis Sanchez whose future at the club has been shrouded in doubt with Juventus and Bayern Munich on his trail.
Meanwhile Jordan Lukaku has made himself available for a summer switch to Arsenal after declaring that he has always been a fan of the club, according to The Set Pieces.
Jordan, who is the younger brother Everton striker Romelu Lukaku, expressed his interest in playing in the Premier League with the Emirates Stadium his preferred destination in England.
The 21-year-old left-back currently ply his trade with Belgium club Oostende-which he joined in 2014- having coming through the academy at Anderlecht.
The Belgium international had a successful season with his club and he has been tipped to try his luck somewhere else. Speaking to the Set Pieces:
Lukaku said: “Do I see myself as Premier League- bound? “I don’t know, but it’s a league that would suit me. “I have always been a fan of Arsenal, but I am mad about every Premier League club as long as the club doesn’t have to fight against relegation.”
With the inconsistency and uncertainty around Kieran Gibbs future at the club, Lukaku could be an ideal replacement for the Englishman and an understudy for firts-choice Nacho Monreal.
Personally i think Arsenal really needs a replacement for Oliver Giroud and Lukaku will be the perfect man to replace him.
Lukaku has been in a superb performance so far this season scoring 18 goals in 32 appearance this season.
