Wilfried Zaha desperate to push through Arsenal transfer this summer

Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha is reportedly determined to make the switch to Arsenal during this summer’s transfer window.

The Gunners are on the hunt for a new wide player this summer and they have been linked with the likes of Ryan Fraser and Yannick Ferreira Carrasco in the past month.

Similarly, Zaha has been one of the names mentioned in the media and The Mirror reports that the 26-year-old is eager to make the move to the Emirates Stadium.

The same publication claims that the attacker has no concerns with the Gunners’ lack of Champions League football and he is eager to join the team, whom he supported during his boyhood days.

Zaha has turned into a consistent performer for the Eagles in the past few seasons and last term saw the best of him in terms of scoring with 10 league goals while he added another five assists.

As such, he appears to fit into the Gunners requirement for a goal-scoring winger, though the Eagles are unlikely to sanction his sale on the cheap.

At present, the Gunners are reported to be working on a £40m budget for the summer and The Mirror suggests that Zaha’s potential price tag could be double of the club’s transfer kitty.

Still, Unai Emery’s side are said to be confident of reducing the overall asking price for the Ivorian, though they may have to garner additional funds from the sale of few first-team stars.

Arsenal have yet to make a single summer signing but they have been hot on the trail of Kieran Tierney to bolster the left side of the backline.

The Capital outfit have failed with a couple of bids for the Celtic ace with the latest being a £17.5m bid with a further £7.5m in performance-based add-ons.
