Arsenal let three points slip out of their grasp after conceding late in the extra time to finish with a 2-2 draw against Liverpool on Sunday.
It was an extremely poor display from the Gunners all through the first half as they failed to thread any passes together and gave the ball away cheaply. It was quite unbelievable to see the possession stats for the first half as Arsenal were well under 30%, which I have never seen before.
However we were luckily did not concede any goals during that spell and just when we thought that it will be goalless going into the break, Coutinho found some room in the box after a miss pass from Giroud and unleashed a powerful shot in the 45th minute to find the back of the net. We responded immediately as Debuchy headed from close range courtesy of a free kick from Sanchez.
We started on the offensive in the second half and were rewarded with a goal around the hour mark from Giroud, after some great work from Cazorla. Once we scored the second goal it was all Liverpool, as we went into a defensive shell. Wenger made some defensive substitutions and the chances of Rodgers men coming back were severely dented after Borini took a red card, but the Gunners defence was caught napping in the 97th minute as Skrtel headed home the equaliser.
This time it was not Wenger, but the players are to be blamed because even after having 5 defenders and 2 defensive midfielder’s on the pitch and facing a 10 man Liverpool we were not able to stop them from scoring. We ended the game with 36.5% possession, which I hear is the worst in a decade and I won’t contradict after seeing the game.

I genuinely believe a decision as simple as playing Chambers RB rather than CB unbalanced the team today, I was so shocked #Arsenal

Arsenal's point will be welcome after last season's thrashing – but a desperately poor performance for the most part.

Arsenal have never had as little possession (36.5%) in a PL match since Opta started monitoring in 2003 #lfc #afc

A thousand things need to be worked on. A thousand ways we can play better. But that's Arsenal. And this is December. #AFC #COYG

Is it a point gained or two points lost for Arsenal?
