Tomas Rosicky has expressed his concerns over the lack of playing time and not even being named on the bench since a year contract extension was agreed. At the age of 34, the former Borussia Dortmund man is eager to catch up for all the chances he had missed due of the numerous injuries he suffered during his career with the Gunners.
He has showed what he is capable over the course of his career at the North London club with some fine impressive performances with the limited chances he had. There is no doubt about his talent or about his hunger to play week in and week out. But, he needs to understand that Arsenal are on the verge of something special here. With a couple of additions in the defence the team will look formidable and Wenger has assembled rich array of attacking prowess which is simply too much in quality and quantity.
However, considering the history of injury record the players at the club have Rosicky will get his chances to play. With Rosicky in the team the players can get valuable experience and can learn much more. Youngsters like Wilshere and Chamberlain need some one like Rosicky in the dressing room, for guiding them and to learn from his experience he has acquired over the years.
Wenger knows the midfielders worth and that’s why he has extended his contract for another year. He has assembled all the parts in the squad. He needs a player like Rosicky ,to be that x factor, to be the squad Player where it will be essential for squad rotation and when you look for competing at the highest level on all fronts(Champions league, Premier League, FA Cup).
The club remained patient during his tough times and its now his chance to remain patient for his chances for another year to decide about his future. He has waited long, another year wouldn’t matter before a big money move to the MLS or to his first club. As a loyal servant to this club he deserves a testimonial and deserves to leave the club with a Premier League winners medal and for that he needs to wait at least for another year.
Should Rosicky look for a new club?
