Arsenal played out an unlucky 2-2 draw against PSG at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday night, more or less ending their hopes of topping the group.
Edinson Cavani’s opened the scoring around the 20-minute mark, as the Uruguayan converted Matuidi’s excellent cross, but the lead was short-lived.
Olivier Giroud’s made it 1-1 from a penalty on the stroke of half time. Paris-Saint Germain defenders were aggravated at the nature of the decision, although replays did show that Sanchez was indeed clipped.
The North London club pressed to gain the advantage and were rewarded on the hour mark as PSG midfielder Marco Verratti turned the ball into his own net.
Jenkinson sent in a good cross but Ramsey could not connect properly and the ball was cleared by Marquinhos only for it to cannon off Marco Verratti’s shins and rebound into the net. Extraordinarily Arsenal were 2-1 ahead.
However, the lead didn’t last for long as the French club equalized with 15 minutes left. A corner came in and Lucas was allowed by Jenkinson to pull away and direct a header goal-wards. David Ospina would have had it covered but Alex Iwobi intervened only to deflect it past his own goalkeeper.
The North London club have already secured their entry into the knock-out rounds in their previous game and the main goal against PSG was to also confirm their place at the pinnacle of the group.
However, the result means that the French club would just need to equal Arsenal’s result in the final group game and they will be through to the next round top of the group.
Both are currently equal on points and although the Gunners have a superior overall goal difference, the French club lead based on superior away goals between both the teams.

Let’s pray
Would be glad if we get Man City or Arsenal. Anything but Bayern. Also don't want Real Madrid or BVB. The best would be Benfica/ Besiktas.

Jenkinson needs time, may be give few games in EFL first
Hope Chamberlain starts right back on sunday. Don't want to see Jenkinson in an Arsenal shirt ever again.
